Our of curiosity, I looked up what a Chinese Crested/Yorkie would look like... come to find they're called Crusties. Poor mix! They're called CRUSTIES... like a scab!
And this reminds me of my adult cousin... she bought a shih tzu from a pet store a few years ago. The puppy ended up having a bad eye (probably due to terrible breeding and hygiene issues) and had to have expensive surgery to fix his eye, which he would most likely end up being blind in. Puppy pulls through the surgery, only to die a few weeks later out of the blue. Heart problems, vet says they were genetic. (So they're breeding dogs with bad hearts and bad eyes... LORDY!)
The pet store gives my cousin a new puppy because her other one was still "under warranty". She takes him in to get everything checked out because of her experience with the other puppy, turns out this one has a heart problem, too. He had to go on medication immediately and will remain on the meds until the day he dies. Expensive. He is also moody, and shy, and doesn't like to be around people or other dogs. And my cousin took him everywhere are a puppy, so the socialization problem isn't due to her.
People never cease to amaze me.
